It is unlawful for your employer to treat you less favourably because you are pregnant, or because you are going to take maternity leave. Examples of pregnancy-related discrimination may include dismissal, failure to carry out and implement a health and safety risk assessment or refusal of paid time off for ante-natal appointments.
