Carers UK is again supporting the Carers in Employment
Award for employers who can demonstrate they have created
a ‘carer-friendly’ working environment.
We will be looking for evidence of support for employees who look
after other family members, partners or friends who are ill, frail
or have a disability.
Lloyds TSB Scotland Scottish Employer of the Year Award
Lloyds TSB Scotland is sponsoring the Scottish Employer
of the Year Award for employers north of the border
with the best work-life balance policies and practice, including
innovative working patterns, generous leave provisions and employee
support systems.
The NSPCC's Family Friendly Award, sponsored
by executive search firm Norman Broadbent, is for employers who
can demonstrate commitment to their employees who are working parents
of children and young people of all ages.
Young people will again be involved in the judging of this Award.
This year, the UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering
and Technology is sponsoring a new Women in SET Award for
employers in SET and the built environment who understand and are
actively addressing the issues and work-life barriers faced by
women in this sector. They should also be actively improving the
position of women in technical roles at all levels in their organisation.
Working Families is also running its own Innovation Award for
cutting edge work-life balance policy and practice. We want to
hear about exciting breakthrough ideas or changes in thinking which
have made a real difference to how organisations perform.
