The Top Employers for Working Families Special Awards

The Top Employers for Working Families Awards showcase some of the best and most innovative current practice that there is when it comes to family friendly and flexible working. Long established categories like Motherhood and Flexible Working are still hot topics as organisations refine and develop their policies, whilst innovation is strong as they think about where, when and how work might be done. The introduction of Shared Parental Leave last year has been especially interesting and it is evident that it has really stimulated some employers to move forward with their parental provision.

The standard of entries this year was high, and in some categories competition was fierce: the line of good practice is moving ever-upwards and organisations are really striving to create policies that differentiate them from their peers.  This is all-important when competing for top talent, of course, but the judges were pleased to note that many entrants were explicit about their commitment to make their policies available to all employees, not just a chosen, highly valued few.  It is this kind of thinking that will deliver the crucial culture change we want to see in the UK’s workplaces.

The 2017 Scottish Top Employers for Working Families awards – now closed

The Scottish Top Employers for Working Families Awards brought to you by Family Friendly Working Scotland celebrate progressive employers that have successfully embedded family friendly and flexible working practices. The awards recognise best practice, innovation and sustainability.

The categories recognise Scotland’s outstanding employers of all sizes, which have created jobs and working environments in which employees can thrive and achieve excellence:

Winners will be announced at a sparkling afternoon tea on 9th March 2017. All finalist organisations will be offered complimentary attendance at this event.
