Working Families is committed to making the UK a better place to live and work. We advise parents on issues they are facing at work, encourage companies to implement progressive policies and practices, conduct research and campaign to the government to make the UK a better place to live and work.
Recent landmark changes to the law that we have instigated include Shared Parental Leave and the universal Right to Request Flexible Working. We are also the creators of National Work Life Week, the internationally celebrated Go Home on Time Day and the increasingly popular ‘Happy to Talk Flexible Working’ strapline, which has been endorsed publically by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), TUC, CIPD and the Federation of Small Businesses, among others.
In 2015, your donations ensured that we were able to help just under 3,000 callers with anything from queries on flexible working to offering support to victims of maternity discrimination, the advice pages on our website were viewed over 200,000 times, and our Waving not Drowning service could provide unique support to a network of thousands of parents and carers of disabled children.
Please press the button below to donate now via our secure Charities Aid Foundation page so we can continue to make the UK a better place to live and work for all.
Just £5 per month could contribute to the cost of an outreach session with a parent or carer of disabled child.
Working Families is part of Child Concern Consortium, a special group of four small charities that work together to raise funds and provide support for vulnerable children and their families. You can donate to the consortium through your payroll.
