Top Employers for Working Families Special Awards 2016 finalists announced

Published: 13 Apr 2016

The finalists for Britain’s most family-friendly workplaces have been announced today by the UK’s leading work-life balance charity Working Families

The annual Top Employers for Working Families [1] Special Awards have seven categories across a range of work-life policies and practices, including flexible working initiatives.

Sarah Jackson OBE, Chief Executive of Working Families [4], said:

“The Top Employers for Working Families special awards shortlist showcases the UK’s most flexible and agile workplaces. With the strides we’ve seen in family-friendly legislation, and rising expectations amongst younger families about sharing work and care, these forward-thinking employers are rightly getting ahead of the game. The finalists recognise the importance of going with the grain of their employees’ lives and they will be rewarded with loyalty and engagement.  They have gone the extra mile with the support they offer their employees and their place in the finals is well-deserved.”

Julian Foster, Managing Director at Computershare, lead sponsor of Top Employers for Working Families [5] said:

“Excellent staff wellbeing is a universal characteristic of truly successful organisations: by enabling employees to live rounded family lives, employers themselves can benefit from a happier, healthier, loyal workforce that also helps improve the bottom line.

“Families are at the heart of what Computershare does – as an employer and through the services we offer, and we are delighted to be sponsoring the Top Employers for Working Families Special Awards again this year. I look forward to seeing which organisations are recognised for their commitment this year.”
